2020: The Year of Italy-China Culture and Tourism – Francesco Hu, CEO of iH Hotels, Meets the Foundation in Milan
On June 17, the Italy China Foundation presented its 10th Annual China Report 2019 to Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte. On this occasion, our CEO, Francesco Hu, attended the event in Milan, also in his role as a board member of the Italy-China Chamber of Commerce.
During his address, Prime Minister Conte highlighted the launch of ambitious and innovative initiatives aimed at fostering cultural and tourism collaboration between the two countries.
The year 2020 will spotlight Italy and China in the hospitality sector and beyond, marking a year dedicated to culture and tourism between the two nations, which together boast the world’s largest collection of UNESCO heritage sites.
The gala dinner also welcomed distinguished guests such as Chinese Ambassador Li Junhua and Italian Ambassador to China Ettore Francesco Sequi. Over 200 attendees, including Foundation members, advisors, institutions, entrepreneurs, and leaders of prominent Italian and Chinese companies, joined the event, among them the CEO of iH Hotels.
