300 Trees for a Greener Future: Our Commitment with Treedom
Thanks to our collaboration with Treedom, IH Hotels Group has contributed to the planting of 300 cacao and coffee trees in sustainable agroforestry systems. This project helps absorb CO₂ from the atmosphere and supports farming communities in developing countries. Through Treedom, each tree is planted by a local farmer, photographed, and geolocated, creating a direct connection with those who take care of it. The trees will grow, absorbing CO₂, producing oxygen, and offering fruits, thus improving air quality and the lives of local communities. Those interested can follow the project online and discover the characteristics of each tree. IH Hotels' goal is to invest in sustainable projects that can generate lasting benefits for the planet.
A Christmas that Plants Seeds of Hope
Sustainability was also the guiding principle in the choice of gifts for our customers. This year, IH Hotels Group decided to gift Sprout plantable pencils, containing sunflower seeds, and notebooks made from recycled paper. After use, the Sprout pencils can be planted to grow beautiful sunflowers, a symbol of rebirth and hope. The recycled paper notebooks represent a commitment to a future with less waste.
