iH Hotels, an Italian hotel group with 28 properties catering to both business and leisure, is placing great emphasis on the restart of the hospitality sector and announces a new sanitation protocol for all of its hotels, in compliance with the standards and regulations issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Italian National Institute of Health (ISS), and the Ministry of Health.
The iH Hotels group decided right from the start to support the fight against COVID-19 with a fundraising campaign to support Italy and all healthcare workers. Over the past months, the group has been at the forefront in providing accommodation to those in need for work-related reasons. Today, the goal remains unchanged but with all actions directed towards future guests: all staff and management are working daily to ensure the safety that guests expect when returning to the hotel, whether for vacation or business. In all iH branded hotels in Italy, preventive measures are being implemented to ensure a safe and harmonious restart.
The sanitation protocol includes securing all environments: great attention is given to managing potentially critical moments for social distancing, such as check-in and check-out with proper signage, and breakfast with the option for in-room service. Specifically, in iH Hotels, rigorous sanitation actions have been intensified in all areas, including guest rooms, bar and restaurant areas, common spaces, and contact points where hand sanitizers will be placed. Thermometers will be available for body temperature checks upon request, and medical masks and gloves will be provided to both guests and staff. Furthermore, special training will be provided to all staff to ensure knowledge and compliance with the hygiene and safety protocols established by the WHO.
iH Hotels is proud of this safety plan for both its employees and customers. The goal is to intensify the sanitation of all environments, adopt new hospitality measures to make future guests feel safe, and allow them to return with optimism and peace of mind. During the smart working months, iH Hotels has prepared to offer 360-degree hospitality once again.

Along with the new commercial policies, a large digital marketing campaign has been initiated. And for those who have returned to work since May 4 or are still at home in the Lorenteggio area of Milan, iH Gusto Restaurant has started offering food delivery.
